FAQ
Is my text uploaded when I compare?
No. The comparison runs in your browser. Both texts stay on your device, which makes it fine for contracts and anything confidential.
What is the difference between word, line and character mode?
Word mode highlights changed words and suits prose. Line mode compares whole lines and suits code and lists. Character mode shows single-letter edits.
Can I compare two Word documents?
Yes. Open each one, select all, copy and paste into the two boxes. Formatting is dropped and the words are compared.
How do I read the colours?
Green was added in the changed version. Red with a strike-through was removed. Everything else is unchanged.
