Terms of Service

Welcome to Quick Note Share (“we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website and services that let you share short notes across devices using a link or QR code. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service overview

Quick Note Share enables you to create a temporary “room” to view a note on other devices via link or QR code. Notes are intended for short-term sharing and are automatically deleted after 24 hours. You can optionally set a password and/or make a room read-only.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract with us to use the service. The service is not directed to children under 13.

3. Accounts

No account is currently required to use the service. If we introduce accounts later, we will update these Terms and may ask you to accept the new terms.

4. Your content

You retain any rights you have in the content you add to a room. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate and provide the service.

You are responsible for the content you submit and for sharing links/QR codes only with people you trust.

5. Acceptable use

• Don’t violate laws or third-party rights (including intellectual property and privacy).
• Don’t upload malicious code, attempt to hack the service, or disrupt others’ use.
• Don’t post content that is unlawful, abusive, or otherwise in breach of these Terms.
• Respect the temporary nature of rooms and avoid using the service for long-term storage.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process information, including optional Google Analytics used to understand aggregate site usage. By using the service, you agree to our privacy practices as described there.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect the service (e.g., TLS in transit). However, no method is 100% secure. Please avoid sharing highly sensitive information. Password protection and read-only settings provide additional control but are not guarantees of absolute security.

8. Availability & changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service at any time, and we may modify these Terms. If changes are material, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.

9. Third-party services

The service may rely on third-party providers (for example, analytics). We are not responsible for third-party sites or services.

10. Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us and our affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service or your breach of these Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are using the service in a way that could cause harm.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence, unless a different governing law is required by mandatory local law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts that have jurisdiction in that location.
